On the morning of February 25, train X387, a “Silk Road e-commerce” service loaded with 55 containers of e-commerce parcels, departed from Xi’anguojigang Railway Station heading west toward Urumqi. At the same time, train X8588, the “Snow Lotus Express,” set off from Sanping Railway Station in Urumqi in the opposite direction, also carrying e-commerce cargo. This milestone marks that the cumulative number of two-way e-commerce trains between Xi’an and Urumqi, jointly developed by CR-Xi’an, China Railway Container Transport Corp. and CR-Urumqi, has exceeded 1,000. It provides strong transport capacity support for reducing overall logistics costs and building a fast freight corridor into Xinjiang.
