During the summer travel rush, special designs on high-speed trains have facilitated barrier-free travel. Each trainset has an accessible carriage located in Car 4, and for double-unit trains, accessible carriages are in Cars 4 and 12. Passengers taking Fuxing EMU trains can check the 12306 railway app in advance by entering the date and train number; the app clearly marks the accessible carriages with icons.
These specially designed carriages reflect human-centered care in every detail: widened doors and aisles to ensure smooth wheelchair passage; wheelchair parking areas equipped with fixed straps, emergency call buttons and anti-slip handrails; Braille labels on the handles of every row of seats for visually impaired passengers; and accessible restrooms with anti-slip handrails, meeting the needs of special passengers in all aspects.
Elderly passengers, passengers with disabilities and others with limited mobility can book key passenger services via the 12306 app in advance to enjoy free full-process assistance, including personal guidance, priority station entry and priority boarding.
