Guangzhou: Direct Services with Dedicated Trains Facilitate Workers’ Return to Jobs

At Guangzhounan Railway Station, the Guangzhou municipal government presented cultural and creative products to migrant workers. In 2026, Guangzhou’s return-to-work dedicated trains are expected to serve more than 8,000 migrant workers. By strengthening dynamic monitoring of labor demand after the holiday, establishing a classified public recruitment mechanism, organizing no fewer than 300 online and offline job fairs across the city and coordinating cross-regional labor cooperation, the city aims to effectively match labor supply and demand.

To support post-holiday work resumption and production recovery, CR-Guangzhou has made advance arrangements. From February 20 to March 4, it plans to operate 20 dedicated return-to-work trains for migrant workers, including 17 high-speed railway trains and 3 normal-speed trains. These services will mainly cover regions such as Changsha, Yueyang and Xinhua, transporting workers directly to core cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Dongguan. It is estimated that more than 12,000 workers will be transported back to their jobs.
